Part B of Our Honeymoon

JD in the Shark Reef playing with fish. It was so cool to be able to touch the 3 different types of fish that were in this tank.
My favorite fish.

JD and I found the best Diner ever with the best service. It was in Yermo off the 15! I will always stop by Peggyson our future trips to Vegas.

We went to Art blowing exhibit with the most beautiful pieces of glass. We spent a lot of time in there looking at all of the different items...which they had for sell of a few grand each!

JD and I went to Vegas. We hit up The Shark Reef in Mandalay Bay, Lion King, the buffets and some much needed R&R. Jd's uncle and aunt sent on us on an extended weekend getaway for a wedding present. We stayed at their timeshare right on the strip. It was so beautiful and we had such a great time.

Our First Christmas

It's Christmas time!!! JD and I went a few weeks ago and bought our first Christmas tree and all the trimings. He was such a good sport since this time of the year his nick name is Scrooge. He must love me alot because he definitely hates the hustle and bustle of this time of year and I love it. While our tree is beautiful and smells good I am not sure of what the ferrets think of it. They love the red skirt underneath and the fact that they can drink the water while they are out playing but for the most part they do not like the try or the lights no the tree. The dude constantly goes up to the tree and does his attack dance like as if he telling our tree who is boss.

I did not send out Christmas cards this year...I just sorta forgot to do it. But with Christmas so close it's just going to have to be something I do next year.

It's so great to have a first Christmas with my husband he is so loving. He loves to spoil me and take care of me. Lately I have been reading a book by Dr. Laura entitled The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands. It has given me such a better view of how to show JD my appreciation of him and for him. It makes each day a gift as I reflect on how grateful I am for a man who blesses my life each and everyday.

Cali went into heat 3 weeks ago today and it was so not fun. She was bleeding pretty heavily and was so sad that she could not come in the house on hot days. However at night time we would put her in cute pink panties was a feminine product and electrical tape to keep them securely on her so that she would be able to come into the house and sleep. We had to cut out a hole for her tail and by the end of her cycle she knew that when it was bedtime she was to lie on her back so that we could put her panties on her quickly and then give us hugs and try not to shake her tail so that we could tape the panties on like a belt. She is a very good dog and is so happy that she can now come in the house if it gets too hot.

It's official!! On July 31, 2010 JD and I got married. Bishop Rigby performed the ceremony at my aunt and uncles home in Chino. It was more beautiful than I could ever imagine! And to be absolutely honest it was so nice to be married to the man I am so unbelieveably in love with.
It's been complete bliss to be married...honestly, it is the best thing I have ever done with my life. I thought that going on a mission was the best thing but being married even tops that. I love being a wife and living with the man I call my husband and to know he feels the same way is truly remarkable. Being married doesn't change too much from dating except that you live together and all that entails...however the relationship or the way you are with your partner is basically the same...but I have changed. I feel more secure and I feel the ability to love him more as well as myself has deepened.

Family

JD and I celebrated my cousins 12th birthday and were able to play with our little buddy Jason. It would look like he is in some serious pain but actually it is the first time he has ever had ice cream cake! Poor child has had to live is short life without the pure pleasure of ice cream...so we decided to try it out while his mom wasn't there and his dad wasn't looking! At first he was so surprised that I thought he didn't like it but as soon as he tasted the sweetness we couldn't feed it to him fast enough. And believe me if we didn't get it to him in a manner that was pleasing for him he would start smacking JD's arm and trying to pull himself closer to the plate where the cake was. I love my little buddy so much!

We are getting close to the count down of our wedding. I really just can't wait for it to get here already. It's weird because as a little girl I thought planning a wedding would be so fun, but really I think that just wanting to be married and be with JD completely outweighs the whole planning process. I can't wait for JULY 31st already! Only 70 more days until I am walking down the aisle to become Mrs John David Moore. [Crazy!!!]

I just ordered my dress and am waiting for my wedding invitations to come in the mail any day. We are gathering addresses and getting ready to take engagement pictures to send off to everyone who will be invited. I hope people don't get there feelings hurt when they are not invited to the wedding. JD and I just want it to be a very small occassion so that we can focus on what really matters EACHOTHER! We are grateful for all who have touched our lives for good and love you all so much that if we invited everyone to our wedding we would not be able to afford a venue in which to have our special day so to eliminate all of that we are only inviting family. I really can not wait for this great day to be here.

Katie's New Job

On April 29th Katie started to work for a company called Caliber Collision Centers. I love my new job but it is definitely strange being only one of two woman in the entire store/shop. I work at the front desk and am in charge of customer relations. I am basically a bonifide receptionist. It's decent pay and hours. But completely different from the bank.

The wedding plans are under way. Well I know everything that we need to get and do before the wedding at least. I can't believe that in less than 117 days I will JD Moore's wife. It seems so strange to be called someones wife. But I can't wait.

Getting Hitched

JD popped the question.

On February 21st JD pulled me into a big bear hug and said "I love you so much, will you marry me?" It was one of the most exciting things that has ever happened to either one of us and now I am completely in wedding mode. Everyday I am looking up dresses and tiara's. I am talking to my mom about where to look for invitations and how we should decorate the tables. About who is going to do what and how we are going to go dress shopping this weekend. Then when I have thought of something to talk to JD about I load it all on like he is dying to hear it. I try to not overwhelm him because as soon as he asked me to marry him and I said yes he was all done with the wedding. He tells me he can't wait for July 31st but I don't think its as much to do with me becoming his wife as it has to do with the fact that I won't make him go register or try on suits or ask him about what time we should do this whole shindig.

JD and I did register. We are registered at Crate and Barrell, Target and Bed, Bath and Beyond. I was able to do two of them online and then we went to Target to tackle the third. I thought that this would be one thing about the wedding planning that JD would enjoy. However, he told me I was a little bit of a Nazie, I don't think so. I just kept telling him to STOP REGISTERING FOR HOT POCKETS! I think it is hilarious but he was dead serious about doing the silly things. He told me other than what he has to do for his part of the wedding (like being there) he only wants to go to the cake tasting and have input on what we eat. Oh and he would love it if we could have our puppy Cali bring the rings down the isle. However, I don't think that would be our smartest move ever.

Since Christmas we have been very busy. We have our puppy Cali who has quadrupled in size and is very lively as we take her to the dog park. Our cat Henry is getting more curious about going outside but he will not make it out in the real world. And as of yesterday our other cat went into heat. Luckily Henry is fixed but somehow Shiva has completely forgotten this and is flaunting herself at Henry at every turn. She is rubbing herself against every corner and singing so very very loudly. She is a beautiful cat who would have the most beautiful kittens but I think JD would absolutely kill me if I allowed her to run around the apartment complex and then come back and in 2 months have kittens. She is so little I just don't know how she could carry them anyways. But if I ever get another cat I want a Hymalayan, they are so beautiful.

JD is now working at CSU Long Beach with his company. It's a huge project and he will probably be out there for at least a year. I am no longer with Wells Fargo and while I miss the people I am so happy to have a change. I am now taking care of my aunt's grandfather. His name is Cliff and he is such a cute old man. Right now he is in a rehabilitation center recovering from a stroke which means that I am with one of my other favorite litte men (my 8 month old baby cousin) Jason. We hang out and watch Regis and Kelly, as well as the View. We go on long walks and play with the dog. I am helping him perfect his rolling over techniques and hoping that before I go back to Cliffs that he is army crawling if not for real crawling everywhere.
